At True Limited, we prioritise a healthy work-life balance, supporting our team members in their charitable work. Read more to discover how we create meaningful change both in and out of the workplace.
At True Limited, we deeply value the well-being of our team and understand that a healthy work-life balance is crucial to maintaining productivity, creativity, and personal fulfillment. Numerous studies show that when employees have the space to pursue personal interests and passions outside of work, they are not only happier but also more effective in their professional roles. We believe that supporting our team in both their work and personal endeavors leads to better outcomes for everyone.
What makes us unique is how we integrate this philosophy into our everyday operations. Our entire team is actively involved in charity work alongside their professional responsibilities, which reflects our commitment to not just corporate success but also to social impact. This dedication to charity work ties closely to the values we uphold at True. As a sustainability consultancy, we work with clients to embed sustainability into their core business practices—focusing on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies that create long-term positive impact. Supporting the personal charity efforts of our employees aligns with the work we do professionally, reinforcing our belief in driving change across multiple fronts.
One of our team members, Alexandra, joined True Limited in mid-2023, and since then, we have been proud to fully support her charitable endeavours. Alexandra plays a key role in Ocean Culture Life’s education program in Jersey, which focuses on raising awareness around marine conservation and the importance of SDG 14—"Life Below Water." This program educates local communities, particularly schools, about sustainability issues related to the ocean, encouraging a new generation to take action on climate and environmental challenges.
In addition to her work with Ocean Culture Life, Alexandra is also a co-founder of the Future Sustainable Finance Leaders group, which brings together professionals passionate about the future of finance and sustainability. Through her leadership, she helps organise events where industry experts speak to group members on topics such as sustainable finance, carbon finance, and sustainability reporting standards and regulations. Her efforts contribute to building a well-informed community in the financial sector, aligned with True’s mission to support financial clients in achieving their sustainability goals.
Alexandra is also involved in the Jersey Association of Sustainability Practitioners (JASP), where she regularly assists Michelle Ryan, chairperson of JASP and co-founder of True, in organising events. JASP brings together sustainability practitioners and industry to learn from and support each other whilst advancing the Island’s sustainability agenda. Alongside this work for JASP, Michelle further supports the development of the sustainability agenda through her role as a Non-Executive Director for Jersey Finance Limited, Jersey’s government and member-funded, non-profit, finance industry development body. Through her role, she ensures both the good governance and development of the organisation itself but also supports the growth of the sustainable finance industry in Jersey.
We’re also proud to support the charitable efforts of Marcus Liddiard, our Chief Operating Officer, who currently serves as the Chairperson of the Association of Jersey Charities (AJC). The AJC is the representative body for the majority of charitable organisations operating in Jersey. Marcus plays a pivotal role in leading the AJC, overseeing governance, strategy, and support for member charities. His work with AJC involves fostering collaboration among charities, administering grants, and increasing public confidence in the integrity of Jersey’s charitable sector. Through his leadership, Marcus ensures the AJC delivers on its mission to promote charitable work, provide training, and advocate for the charitable sector in Jersey, which aligns closely with True’s core values of driving social and environmental impact.
At True Limited, we recognise that allowing our team to explore their passions for charitable and social causes not only enriches their personal lives but also enhances their professional capabilities. By supporting their involvement in sustainability-related charity work, we create a work environment where our values align closely with our mission, ensuring that our employees are empowered to make meaningful contributions both inside and outside the workplace.
We are proud of the work we do at True Limited and equally proud of the work our team does in the community.
